Am Lameck Oyaro, aged 23,a Journalist by profession,a gospel musician and Graphic designer.I live in KEROKA TOWN that is situated alongKisii-Keroka highway.Am a pianist and drummist at the same time.At the moment i design graphics then brand them on t-shirts either personalized or social messages(like the one on my zidisha or gmail profile pictures).Due to lack of employment that is basically the business i started so as to atleast earn a living...I come from a humbel background.am the only son in a family of five so i really have to work hard inorder for me to support my parents and i.I want to expand my business and hopefully one day have my own international company and lenders of Zidisha be among my clientele.
My business entirely depends on how i socialize with everyone i meet and how i get to inform them of my products.I usually sell my t-shirts and sometimes shoes to the young generation and that is my target market.I usually go out to industrial area in Nairobi City to PoloKnit Company where i buy good quality t-shirts,then go home check on my order list, come up with designs, and then go to a friend's workshop where i pay the time to brand the t-shirts.i want to start my own workshop but financial consntraints have been to many for me.i would be very happy if i atleast managed to start working from my place so as to save the money i pay for the workshop.i always have ready customer as most of my designs are catchy and attractive to many young people.I also make some little cash by perfoming in concerts that am invited so i have an altenative mean when bussiness is down.I also play piano and drums at concerts too. This is one of my perfomances. Please check it out too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vo_ZrSOJZE
The loan am to recieve will entirely facilitate purchasing of new t-shirts from PoloKnight Company,a company that sells plain t-shirts in various colours and sizes.I will also use the money to purchase the paints used in bradning the t-shirts.At the moment i kind of fail to realize full profits because i have to pay for services at the workshop, the paints and labour. As for the workshop i hope to rise through the credit limits till when i'll be able to get a loan to start my own place. For now i'll use the loan to purchase t-shirts and paints so as to break the huddle of having to use the workshop owner's paints.I buy a plain t-shirt at sh.200,label it for sh.100 the sell it at sh.500 realizing a profit of sh.200 per t-shirt.
Hopefully, with the loan i hope to manage buying my own paints and pay less service fee and that way realize full profits.
Thankyou.
