About Me

My name Stella Mbuthu Laban married to Stephen Doang Nyoat. I was born in a small and poor family in Kibirichia, Meru County. I was the first born and my sister was the last born. Our parents struggled to secure our education and I managed to obtain my Secondary level certificate in 1992. From there my parents were not able to support me to pursue my university education, but instate I turned to be a tailor. My father is a tailor up-to-date and I obtained tailoring training from his trained tailors whom was once worked for him. While working in my tailoring business I pursued my theological training in Bethany Christian Collage and graduated with Diploma in theology in order to follow my church service career. When I got married to Stephen Nyoat we went to South Sudan where my husband belong as his native origin and stayed for the last four years in Juba conducting our business successfully. We decided to come back to Kenya for continuation of education for ourselves and our kids' future. Therefore; as long we are a live, we should strife and continue to work hard for our survivals with my beloved family

My Business

Because my parents were not able to support my higher education I turned to be a tailor in order to keep my financial status fits for my life. Before I got married I work in the tailoring business from 1995 up-to-date. Beside tailoring am a full time pastor in my church under United Methodist Church jurisdiction. My husband also is a professional theologian and work as a full time church minster too. The business, which we are running right now with my husband is tailoring cloth and retailing consumable food. But our most concentration focusing in tailoring. Cloth production has a lot of demand that re generate income to our family living status. I make African dresses for both women and men, wedding dresses, children cloth and school uniforms. I did choose this business because to secure income, to support those who need my help, and having fun of loving to be busy in my life. Therefore; the business is a source of supporting my family life that meet their demand expenses, in shelter, food, education, clothing and holidays fun.
