My name is Boahemaa Liticia, I am young woman of 26 years. I come from Techiman but I am recently staying in Nkoranza. I am married for about eight(8) months and I stay with my husband. I am married to Mr. Samuel Danso and we have no child for now. My parents are Mr. and Mrs. Boahen.
I started my basic school at St. Paul's R/C school in Techiman and furthered to Nkoranza senior high technical school for my Senior High education. After completing my Senior High School, my parents couldn't afford sending me to a tertiary institution so I had to learn apprenticeship in dress making because during my basic school days, I developed interest in sewing in our vocational skills lesson. After I completed my apprenticeship, It was my dream to help my future husband cater for our children, and luckily, I am now married so I work hard to make my dream come true. The food I like best is banku and groundnut soup. My hobbies are reading story books and also watching movies with my husband.
I began my business a year before I got married to my husband. My aim was to support my husband to properly care for our children. I chose to become a seamstress because I developed interest in sewing in my vocational skills class when I was in Junior High School. My dress making shop contains my own sewed dresses as well as already made clothes, I also sew school uniforms for young school going ladies. Simply, I produce ladies clothes for all ages. This business has helped me very much because it was the major source of income to me and my family before I moved to my matrimonial home. I manage to get $45 every week. I have three apprentices I work with. It is my dream to increase my profit margin by 50% in the next 6month. Again, it interest me to make it known that, I am the secretary of our local dress makers and beauticians association.
Dear lenders, i thank you for the first loan you gave to me. It helped my business very much, it was my dream to increase my profit margin by 50% in six months but i could not achieve it though it is not yet the due time. It pleases me to apply for a second loan which i will use to buy clothes that i will use for sewing dresses and sell to my customers, this will cost $160. Again i will buy different colors of sewing threads and buttons, needles and lining for my dress sewing and they will cost $40. I have one additional apprentice who has stopped schooling because her parents could not afford her fees and i wish to buy a sewing machine for her which will cost $100. Lastly, i will buy foreign designed dresses and sell them in addition to my own produced cloths because it helps me to have variety of designs and styles to meet the desire of my customers. They will also cost $50. I promise to repay the loan regularly so dear lenders help me.
