Fred Otieno is a jovial fun loving man who loves to look on the positive side of life.I was born and brought up in Homabay county in Kenya.I went to primary school at Homabay town primary school where school was fun to attend, since i had so many friends in school , they loved me because i made them laugh all the times , i remember countless times when we were called in the teachers staffroom for laughing in class. Before i could finish my primary school , tragedy befell us , i lost my mother, it was very difficult for me and life took a different turn, i performed poorly due to this and i was forced to repeat my class eight.I overcame this and qualified for secondary school, i went to Kanga high school and later,Kenya medical training college. After two years of employment i moved on to start a pharmacy of my own and thats what i do till date. People in my place are very loving and joyful. My kid tells me that he wants to be a medical doctor. i love singing and making music as a hobby.
I sell human medicines of all kinds to people in my neighborhood. I sell paracetamol s, fansidar, coartem, brufen , doxill , antacids and many more. These medicines are very useful in my neighborhood since there isn't any other pharmacy around.and i help people get them so that they can always be healthy. I do this kind of business since its what i have studied at college and i love bringing a positive change in peoples lives health wise. My main costs are the cost of purchasing the medicines and the cost of shop rent and of course license .I make close to ksh 30000 every month from my business and i use the money to train my child in school and to carter for my other siblings.
I will use the money to buy coartem tablets for adults, they are used in the treatment of malaria. They will cost me $100 for a whole carton, these will enable me meet the high demand of this drugs in my pharmacy. I will expect my income to rise by 5% and most of all the joy of making someone whole is immeasurable.
