About Me

I am Amoako Sarhene from a noble family though poor but my family name is a credible name when you come to my village. We are a from a royal family. I am the third of born of my late father Akwasi Amoako who was a prominent person in the entire of my village during his days as the chief of my village.
During my childhood I was a happy boy until I lost my father. I was the favourite son of my father. I used to walk with him wherever he goes including royal meetings.
After I lost my dearest father things began to change from bad to worst. Because I couldn't continue with my education I had to drop out of school due to finance problems. My mother at that time was becoming weak and weaker. Things had really changed with the absent of my father.
I had to drop out of school to take care of my mother. We were 12 children in number you could see the pressure on me since I was the third born of my siblings though I was not the only one.
I had to go into farming at least that was the least thing I could do. My first crop didn't yield due to pest that destroyed the farm in fact I was really disappointed and nearly stopped farming. What motivated me was that since I was not the only farmer that had that problem during that terrible year.
The following year I went into cocoa farming and maize farming. Which is making me survive till now. Though it is difficult to go into large scale farming but that is what I intend to do now and I need money to accomplish my task. I need the right equipment or the right farming tools.

My Business

I am seriously into cocoa and maize farming now and also planning to go into large scale farming which I can employ more people to help me weed under the crops and also during harvesting. There are so many crops that I plant. I am also planning that during the off-season that is the hamattan season I can still continue to farm throughout all the seasons. I like farming and that is the available work in my village at the moment. Though I can go to town and settle there.
In fact is very lucrative venture just that people especially the youth have not realize this. There is money in it just that large scale farming is capital intensive.
I intend to solicit for help and expand my farm to large scale farming. Knowing that I couldn't finished schooling though I was able to complete Junior High School in short JSS I can read and write so I will be able to apply some highly sophisticated farming techniques or methodologies of farming and use new varieties of cocoa seedlings. I make profit out of my farming and I use the proceeds to take of care of my siblings in school and other activities in the house. Last year for instance I had 15 bags of maize which was a total breakthrough for me that year. I am hoping that this year will be good as well as last year. But this year we are lacking some rains a bit. I don't actually know what come out of it.
I love farming and I love to spend my whole life farming because that was the same thing the first man came and did I mean Adam. So farming is an area that you can make it as a youth.

Loan Proposal

I will use the money that I will get to invest seriously into my cocoa farming. Cocoa is a commodity that is very very important in this world both local and international consumption.
I will to buy new variety of seedlings that can withstand the conditions and diseases.
The seedlings the number will need will cost around $50
I will also buy chemicals to spray pesticides and it will cost around $40
I need to also cut down the old cocoa trees which will cost me around $20
Cocoa farming is a very lucrative venture. I will accrue money when the season arrives. I used the money I get from the farming to support my immediate family and my siblings who are currently in school.
