About Me

I am a married mother of 8 children between the ages of 5 and 22 years old. I have three boys and 5 girls, two girls do housework to be able to care for themselves and the other three are still in school. One of my boys is learning to become a tailor, while the other works as a carpenter and my third son is living in Italy where he was helping me but has been sick lately. Their father is a small electrician and I have a henhouse I take care of myself even though sometimes my children help me. We’ve been doing well for the past two years. I went to school up until the 5th grade and I took some introductory lessons to learn how to use a computer at a cyber café.

My Business

My project is to open a restaurant to sell breakfast, fatayas and donuts that I will sell in bags of 100 FCFA. Right now I am selling big bowls of donuts at 50,000 FCFA and I earn a profit of 10,000 FCFA on each bowl and on the little bags at 500 FCFA I earn a profit of 200 FCFA and at 60,000 FCFA the bowl of fatayas I earn 10,000. I sell juice at 1000 FCFA per liter that costs me 700 FCFA and I earn a profit of 300 FCFA. I can sell 30 bottles a day and if I can I sell them at the supermarket, schools and I have a garage at home where I want to expand production with Zidisha’s loan.

Loan Proposal

As a merchant I sell fabrics, toiletries for women and with the loan I will buy 10 pieces of wax fabric at 12,000 FCFA, 10 pairs of shoes at 10,000 FCFA that I will sell back at the Parcelles Assainies market at 20,000 FCFA for the fabric and 15,000 FCFA for the shoes. The profits will help me expand my business and provide for my family.

I just asked for an extension of my deadline till October. Because it was hard on my side to get ahead. My son had to travel and I was ill for a couples of time. And with the raining season business was not doing well. But I just start a new business for which I will perceive profits at the beginning of October. I thank God a lot for your help I promise I will start paying back in October. Now am working very hard in order to payback and very sorry for the delay caused to lenders

I am obliged to ask for a new grace period. I invested in an aviculture product, the first operation allowed me to make the first payment at the end of January. I started a new operation in March and now the chickens are not ready- I intend to sell them starting the end of this month and hoping to have them all sold after two months. This is why I ask a new grace period.
