    Dear Lenders,

My name is Michael Riley and I am the current Client Relationship Manager here in Dakar, Senegal. Last week I had the pleasure of delivering Ami her loan check. She was delighted to have received these funds and is looking forward to her partnership with Zidisha. Not only will this loan help sustain her business activity of selling snacks at her neighborhood stand, but she also hopes to contribute to the work of her son. Ami does not speak French so I communicated mostly with her son as he translated in Wolof (language of Senegal). A student of graphic design, I found out that Ami's son Ibrahim is in the process of constructing a small shop near their home, where he will open a graphic designing and printing studio. It is fascinating to see how families work together in diverse informal sectors, to take advantage of opportunities that will benefit the whole family's well-being. Ami and her son Ibrahim are so happy to have this loan as it will help the entire family flourish. Thanks to your gracious lending, much will be accomplished with this and subsequent loans.

Hi Michael, how are you? This is Ami Sougoufara's son, Ibrahima. It's been a while since we've spoke. I've been focusing on work, putting the finishing touches on the job I had shown you when you were in my neighborhood. Anyway, I thank God because now I've begun working. I was having some problems with the machinery I had bought. They were hard to find - it took me almost a month to find the right machinery. They showed me many different options but I didn't want to rush since I wanted something really good. Finally, I found it. It's a bit hard to start, but it's okay. I know that the beginning is always difficult.

My mother is also satisfied with her Zidisha loan because she's accomplishing her goals. She thanks the entire Zidisha team, particularly Eaganlender. She says hello and thanks you very much, just as I do - you're very kind. I'll also mention that today I deposited the entire 25,000 CFA ($51.83) into my Ecobank account. Yesterday (January 24) was my repayment date but unfortunately there was a nationally celebrated holiday here in Senegal. But when I woke up, I made the deposit before doing anything else. Again, thank you Michael, Eaganlender, and all those who helped finance my project.
