About Me

My Story.
My name is Salome Adhiambo, I was born in Kisumu City 32 years ago where I grew up and did most part of my lower education there. I am married and I live in Umoja Estate with my husband and our daughter of three years. I am presently working as a Dental clinic in Nairobi West. I mainly do secretarial duties but currently I combine with bookkeeping for the Clinic because I am taking my CPA classes, actually CPA II now. I went to Kisumu Girls High School, I did my O level there then I managed to attain a mean grade of C plain. According to the Kenyan System of education, I didn’t attain a grade to be admitted into any public university for a regular course. I didn’t want my studies to end after form four so that is the main reason as to why I decided to pursue a course that was affordable to me and can be done over a period of time. During my free time I always like staying with my family and as a mother, I try to stay with our daughter who to say the least is my main source of inspiration. I also like reading journals and lifestyle magazines as well as browsing the internet a lot. I sincerely thank God for everything that he has bestowed upon me.

My Business

My Loan Proposal.
Without education and good skills, there is definitely no future for any individual. My loan request is basically to enable to complete my studies and to be a recognized senior Certified Public Accountant. Two years ago ie 2012, my husband asked me to choose a course of interest to me- After a long discussion on the available options,we settled that I pursue Accounts because of my high school grades, he advised me to first register with KASNEB ,( the umbrella body that registers and examines all future accountants in Kenya) he funded me to enrol to take classes in ATC I which I studied privately and passed after six months. He was so encouraged and I was driven to take Level II by December 2013. I passed both leves 1 and 2 very well and I was exempted to skip CPA section 1 and do Section II. But unfortunately, he lost his job and life was a struggle most part of 2013. I stopped studies but God blessed me with a job at a dental clinic. It’s for sure not a well paying job but its better than nothing. I went back to enroll for the CPA at Summit College in the city center where I go for my classes every evening after work.
My main problem is paying for my school fees at Summit College and I have a fee balance of about USD 250 which I must clear before I am allowed back in class as the sessions are ongoing and the exam are due in early June. This is the main reason why I intend to request for a loan from Zidisha. I plan to repay the loan from my salary because I am guaranteed payment at the end of every month .I hope it will go through to enable me finish my studies. Please kindly consider lending me this loan because I trust my educational dream is valid.
