I am Gilbert Mwai Machira. I come from Nyeri County, Tetu constituency. I schooled at Seveenth Day Adventist Academy and later joined Mukurweini Boys' High School for my secondary education. I joined Glasan Computers College Gilgil where i did my ICT course. I have been working at Kenya Power Lighting Company under Omission and Maintenance department. It is in this career that i got the passion od rearing rabbits of which i got the skills from a friend of mine whom i had gone to repair elecctricity at his place.
The greatest hardship i went through in life is late salary payment which led me to start my own business of rabbit keeping. I saved the income i was earning and this enabled me start my own business.
The important thing with about where i live is that there is condusive environment and security is tight thus the greatest opportunity for my running of business.
My unique hobby is nature seeing and this has given me a passion for animals.
My rabbit keeping business has been doing well where i sell rabbit meat to great hotels in Nakuru and also individuals where rear rabbits as pets and also for meat since most people like rabbit meat.
I have been doing this job for quite a while whereby i am having a total of 24 rabbits. It has also been a way of passing time since during my leisure time i like working at the rabbit stalls, feeding them and making sure that the stall are sparkling clean.
I also make the environment thereof conducive and also fencing the area. I also get other income from an occupation i do as a computer teacher/instructor at Dantech Computer Services and Cyber cafe.
Hello great lenders, i would like to thank you for your great support you have given me during my previous loan. I was able to buy a mature female rabbit and it gave birth to 9 more rabbits. My purpose for requesting for another loan is to facilitate me while i construct another rabbit house. I would like to separate the young ones from their mother and the benefit for doing this is to enable the mother to recover on time and make the young ones independent.
