About Me

am pamela cheyech,a single mother with three children,i was educated up to class 4 due to luck of school fees because i grew up as un orphan.my parents died when i was 3 years old and i was left in the hands of my grand mother.i tried looking for employment but all in vein due to luck of proper academics that is why i started cooking tea and selling to business people in there shops, i could do that even if its ruining.after that i got a small place were i starting marking tea and food and sale.i now have two works who help me.i also sale vegetables and fruits.
i have 3 children that i take care of because their parents died of Aids.
during my free time am in church, teaching children stories,i also go hospitals to pray for sick people and also mobilize community to collect items like clothes, shoes so that we can take to orphanage homes

My Business

i do cook tea and food to sale for business people that is breakfast and lunch.i do that because that is what i could do with my little money i had and food is needed by every one daily.i buy what to cook a day before so that i don't delay and because i have no enough cash, i can not have enough stock.
i believe that if i get this loan,i will stock and my business will grow and i will help the orphans to pay school fees, clothes, pay the loan back.

Loan Proposal

i will invest back for the business by buying the food stuffs like beans for 5 dollars, rice for 15 dollars, wheat flour for chapati making for 15 dollars to grow and i will also help to pay school fees for the orphans i take care of

I think it's not supposedto be that way. You should ask your mentor or in the community forum. Maybe someone there will be able to explain.

Thanks lenders ,I have got the money but 3000 shillings has been reducted instead of 1000 shillings that I saw when I was aplying, ithink 3000 was put in infect after my loan was fully funded. Because now what is 1500 shilling going to help me surely. Please see if you can send me the 2000 shillings.
Antherwise thanks but 3000 shillings is too much reduction to a person getting 50 dollars please.

Unfortunately, we cannot do anything on our side. May I suggest speaking with your mentor and ask him about your problem?

Hope all goes well on your side.

        Ok...

So I did a little digging on my side about another problem that I was having with borrowed money and it seems they did change the way the first "borrowing" of money works.

        See: forum.zidisha.org/threads/i...

What might interest you is this part:

"Starting this month, we will be piloting an alternative approach to loan fund sustainability: Instead of paying interest over the course of each loan, new borrowers will be asked to pay a larger membership fee at the time they raise their first loan. The fee ranges from about $12 to $40 depending on the country. (It is highest for the fast-growth countries of Kenya and Ghana, and lower or waived entirely in other countries where membership numbers are still small.) It is only paid once (for lifetime membership), and only in the event that a loan is successfully funded and disbursed."
