About Me

My name is Susan Waliaula, I’m 37 years old single woman and I live in Nairobi, Kenya. I am a determined, dedicated, hardworking and with a desire to succeed. I have a degree in International Business Management; unfortunately I lost my Job in December 2016. Since then I’ve tried my hands on different ventures with no much luck until January 2018 I rented a Studio Apartment, furnished it and advertised it as vacation rental studio.

My Business

My main source of income is my furnished studio apartment that I rent it out for short stays. It’s a small cozy studio well furnished with all the necessary amenities.  The location is very strategic for both tourist and those on business. The Studio has a well-equipped kitchenette. It has a study desk with colored 3in1 printer/photocopier/scanner. A smart TV with inbuilt Netflix, you tube and browser. It has a small sofa and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is kept very clean and has instant hot water shower. I have been having full bookings since March.

Loan Proposal

I took a small studio in January 2018, furnished it and turned it into a vacation rental. six months later I have not made any losses. I receive more request to stay at my studio than I can accommodate. My plan is to add another studio because I have already established my clienteles and most of them have becoming regular clients. My total monthly expenses including rent is $400/=. I charge $30/night. Since I began 6 months ago I've made between $600- $800 before expense each month, that's a profit of $200-400$ each month. My desire is to rent another studio in the same building and make it a vacation rental as well
