About Me

I'm kiprono evans age 27.I cleared my secondary education in the year 2009 at the time Zidisha kicked off but didn't had a smartphone then.9 year down the line it has be hard starting dary farming due high cost of cows and fodder since I didn't had farm of my own. After one year I managed to raise some funds to lease a 1 acre farm and planted cabbages which gave ksh.40000.That's when I bought two cross breeds i raise for 2 years before they calf.their production was not pleasing hence not good profit.I sold them in the year 2015 and bought 1 high breed from a local farmer. This cow calf in 2016 June and have 12 months old heifer ready to be served by December 2017.What has boost my business is the demand for milk because residents like taking tea due low temperature and they don't take coffee. I have a tiny family a six old boy who wanna be a Doctor and a 1 month old girl.My spouse is PHO but currently don't have a job but help me in the farm.I spent most of my time of web researching of best farm practises.

My Business

I produce milk I sell locally and for domestic use.The residents use milk for making tea and making sour milk (mursik).I choice the business because I have passion for it. The business give me 14000-17000 a month as profit.I use the money for schools fee and and currently buying and assembling materials to built and a modern dairy unit. The money have enabled me build a semi permanent house for my family.

Hello lenders I'm here again with a great business plan.I'm here seeking funding of 2320 dollars .I now qualify for only 400 dollars which is little for this mega project.I'm looking forward to buying an electric animal feed crusher at a cost of 1500 dollars, setting up a pigsty at coat of 600 dollars, buying two German shepherds at cost of 120 dollars to beef up security in my farm and last I need 100 dollars for plumbing; distribution of water in the farm.

First, having this idea cam eto my mind after spending much in buying supplement and this triggered the idea of having the crusher. I would be able to make an ordinary supplement for my animals; cows, pigs and poultry. I would be able to make extra money by selling some self made ordinary supplement at 20 dollars at 50 kilos sack.I will be making my forage using maize stalks, rice and straws.u would also use lucerne, sunflower and fish meal. The electric motor will be enable me to have a fine crushed forage of 100 kilos which will be enough for my animals. The sell of the ordinary supplement will contribute upto 40 dollars a week will enable me to pay electricity bill ,hire one person, service the machine , some dollars as savings and the rest I will to service my Zidisha loan.

Secondly I'm interested in setting up a pigsty in my farm because I have found it's a profitable venture. I would wish to start this farming with 600 dollars. I will be one of the few farmers in bomet county to excel in pig farming. I was encouraged by my spouse about this farming in that she find it easy yo manage .she made me to understand we could easily find their food in our farm like grass and cabbage leaves.she further said pigs does need much attention unlike dairy cows .I'm looking forward to introducing 9 sows and 1 boar piglets for a start.I would be breeding before encouraging my neighbours to buy my pigs and start rearing pigs too; this will in turn enables me to pay my Zidisha loan and improve economic status.Demand for pork hasn't be met in many counties because many farmers don't like rearing pigs.

Thirdly since I have a underground water tank as appearing in my profile I was able to purchace water tank too appearing in my profile at a cost of 180 dollars,I would need to push a electric water pump to pumb water to a rised water tank and water pipes a cost of 100 dollars. This will make work easier since all the structures will have water by use of gravity and reduce the cost of carry water around.
Lastly I would like funding of 120 dollars to beef up security in my farm by buying two German shepherds and building a decent house. This will help me in securing the structures and machine installed in my farm.
My family is happy having you lenders as our business partners, my prayer is for you to fund my 2320 dollars project and I will be grateful.
