About Me

I am a small scale dairy farmer with two dairy animals that give me 18 litres of milk a day. I grew up in an agricultural research station in kitale, Kenya and developed a lot of interest in dairy farming as a small boy. I am planning to increase my stock to about 10 cows. I also intend to start a poultry project to raise chicken for sale at the local market. Funding is the main challenge in expanding my project. If I could get funding at a low interest rate then my dreams would come true.

My Business

I ran a small dairy project on one acre piece of land in kitale. Due to the small land I grow maize for my cows on land that I lease and buy fresh cut grass for fodder. I make about Ksh. 20,000 from milk sales that I use to feed my family. I need a miller to make feed for my cows but I cannot afford one at the moment since one that would fit my needs costs Ksh 50,000. I am requesting for a loan of the same amount to enable me buy a miller since we are moving to the dry season and feeding my cows will be very challenging to me. I intend to pay back the loan in five monthly instalments. Thank you.

Loan Proposal

Buy dairy inputs. Since the amount is relatively small I will only be able to buy some salt for my cow. I however hope to grow my credit limit with time to enable me buy more inputs.
