About Me

My name is Katy Mbaye. I live in Rosso, and I spent my childhood in Yoff, a town north of Dakar, where I attended primary school up to CM1 (fourth grade equivalent). I left school in 1998 to begin an early, five-year-long apprenticeship in sewing and restaurant work in a women's center. Once I was finished, I used my cooking skills to help my aunt in her large restaurant in Pikine, preparing a variety of meals. There I found my love of restaurant work and gained much experience. In 2008, I decided to start my own business. My restaurant is located across from my house and I serve a large variety of meals. Since the space was allocated to me by the town I do not pay rent, only yearly taxes. I enjoy my career very much.

My Business

In this restaurant that I've owned since 2008, I serve a variety of dishes. The food is very popular - people love it! I work on breakfast in the mornings, and dinner in the evenings. The cost of the food I buy comes to around 10,000 francs per day, but I make a profit of 80-100%, that is, an additional 8,000-10,000 francs. I always save part of this sum. I want to increase my savings so that I can better satisfy my clients. For instance, some clients are disappointed when they find that the restaurant is closed early. I am asking you for a loan so that I can make improvements and increase my profits.

Loan Proposal

In the restaurant, which is my preferred activity and in which I have a lot of experience, I want renovate the space so that it can be cozier and more cheerful for my customers. For these kind of small adjustments I need to build walls, buy another table and more chairs, but some funding is necessary to allow us to undertake this work as soon as possible.

About Me

Je m’appelle katy mbaye, j'habite à Rosso, jai passé mon enfance à yoff ou j’ai fréquenté l’école primaire jusqu’en classe de CM1. J’ai quitté l’école en 1998 puor me lancer très tôt à l’apprentissage de la couture et de la restauration dans un centre féminin ou j’ai fait cinq ans. A ma sortie, riche en connaissances en matière de cuisine, j’aidais ma tante qui tenait un grand restaurant à Pikine pour préparer les repas dans leur variété. C’est là bas que j’ai eu l’expérience et l’amour de la restauration. Après avoir fait quelques années avec elle, j’ai décidé en 2008 de créer mes propres affaires toujours dans le domaine de la restauration. Je fais plusieurs variétés de plats et je tiens mon restaurant en face de chez moi et la place que j’occupe m’a été allouée pour la mairie je ne paie pas la location, je ne verse que les taxes du trésor et ceci une fois par année. Je me réjouis beaucoup dans ce métier que j’aime bien.

Dans ce restaurant que je tiens depuis 2008, je vends divers plats que les gens raffolent en un rien de temps. Je travaille le matin pour le petit déjeuner et le soir pour le diner. Mon marché pour tout cela me revient à environ 10000 frs par jour mais à cela j’en tire un bénéfice journalier de presque 100%. C'est-à-dire huit mille à dix mille francs. Une partie de cette somme est toujours épargnée. Je me veux d’augmenter la quantité ce qui me fera gagner plus et surtout satisfaire mes clients. Je veux dire certains clients sont parfois obligé de rebrousser chemin à mon regret car tout est fini à une certaine heure. Je viens vers vous pour que mon commerce augmente d’envergure et que mes bénéfices augmentent.

dans lecadre de restauration, qui est mon activité préférer et dans laquelle j'ai une expérience très grande, jeme veux d'aménager l'espace que j'occupe afin de mettre mes clients dans un cadre très gaie et surtout très intime. Pour cela de petits aménagements genre élever des murs acheter d'autre table et des chaises serait nécessaire mais cela demande un certain fond nous permettant d'engager ce travail et ceci le plus rapidement possible.
