About Me

My Name is calvin loyd mogaka. I am 25 years old. I was born in chirichiro Village, Keumbu Divison in Kisii County. I attended Riamokwobe Primary School before proceeding to Homa-Bay High School between 2004 to 2007. I passed well and was admitted to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology. I am graduating in june 2014.I currently live in Juja town. I am the deputy principal at Thika Institute of Computers and engineering,Thika. I am currently in charge of a KCSE private candidates center, adult education and also offering computer studies. Those who never finished highschool are getting an opportnuty to complete studies at my centre.
i also offer free education to street children and computer studies who can't afford to raise any fees. The children need help so that they can be useful members of the society.

My Business

Mine is a learning centre where we offer adult high school education, languages and computer studies. As a way to give back to the community, I recently started educating some street children for free. This I teach basic computer skills because I am trained in IT and I know, IT is the future.
The business currently boasts 36 students and we expect the numbers to increase. This is the major source of income that offsets our monthly expenditure of about Ksh.92000. Any time collections cannot meet these costs, I go to my personal sources to clear the balances. Currently, I am seeking a loan to increase space, furniture, add computers and provide some food so that I can accommodate more students and improve service delivery. There is increased need for the services we offer at our learning center and we are glad we are contributing to providing knowledge. Our students like the personal attention they get, the conducive learning environment and the career guidance we offer. Unfortunately, for the street children, it is always difficult for them because of their shelter and clothing. But given more funding,i intend to provide them with shelter and clothing as i have already identified some good rooms for them.

Loan Proposal

Dear everyone at zidisha. I am happy of the good work you are doing to support us entrepreneurs from developing countries. I feel very humbled to be associated with such great people.

As you can see, my business is an educational centre where we give our students who never completed their high school studies an opportunity to finish and therefore they can access higher education. We also offer computer studies because the future is truly a computer world. No wonder we can communicate yet we are thousands of miles apart. We also offer languages especially English, French and Germany to our learners to help them further fit in a global world. We are supporting a few street children for free as a way of community responsibility.

In this current loan, I will use it to add 13 chairs to our school. This means we will be able to accommodate 13 more students. We are currently experiencing a growth and the chairs are a very important investment. I have committed to set aside $11 every week from our collections. I am confident I will be able to repay this amount every Monday of the week. Dear lender, even as you contribute to this loan, I thank you in advance. You are funding a worthy cause.

Thank you all of you.
