About Me

mary wairimu maina is a mother of 4 children aged from 3year and the oldest 12 years i live in kiptagwanyi center which is about 43 kilometer from nakuru which is the major town in this area.i was born in 1977 in kiambogo village by two parent mom and dad who was working hard to support their children in there need.in 1982 my parent bought a land in kiptagwanyi muriricua village where we migrate to and also where thy live till to date. i join my primary education in 1982 in muriricua nursery school.i join primary education in 1983 and complete my primary education in 1990.i didn't join secondary school because after 1 year i got pregnant and i was married by my husband.and we were bless with 4 children.my father and my mother were business people in this center kiptagwanyi, father having posho mill and my mother hotel and green grocery.so after i got married i started also business of green grocer in this center.this business has helped me and my family a lot and i plan to update it by having a blender to made juice

My Business

i am a business woman who have a green grocery a profitable one in this area. it is profitable because i have been doing this business for a bout 7 year and my family depend in it 100% in any need, from food , school fees and also cloth.also i was able to collect enough money to buy a plot where i am planing to build a place where my family can leave without paying rent not like this time when i am paying rent.the business is profitable and the demand of my service is high like now we are approach the dry season when vegetable will be in demand and because i have a place where i have planted a vegetable and also tomato, i know i will made a good profit because i will also sell to the business people who do the same business like me.the main challenge is poor road , high cost of commodity like tomato and vegetable which is accelerated by drought sometime in this area, also high cost of transport from where i get my product sometime i use motorbike which is costly.my typical monthly cost 45,000 sale revenue is and profit is 65.000 after deducting all expenses

Loan Proposal

dear lenders and zidisha, thank you for this opportunity.in this my first loan i want to do the following, in this area at this month there is no green vegetable, so because i know where to get them from the people who do irrigation in their farm,i will buy and also i have a small portion where i have plated vegetable, like sukumawiki and tomatoes in my shamba.this commodity is in a high demand because there is drought in this area at this time, also the lest i will add fruit because i have already got a blender which i will use to get fruit juice to sell to my customers as this time sun is very hot in this area.
