About Me

My name is John mwangi marenye I was born in1984 at nakuru town in nakuru county I attended kagoto primary school for my primary education up to standard 8 completing in 1999. In the year 2000 I joined upper hill secondary school for my higher education up to form 4. After school I was employed by a quarrying company in nakuru to work as a casual laborer and rose to a driver after 2 years. I worked with the same company for 6 years until I decided to quit and start self employment. I relocated to Gilgil town and settled there while I started a transport business. With my little savings I bought a new motor bike to facilitate the same. I am married and blessed with 2 children who are currently in lower primary school. I look forward to be a zidisha member.

My Business

My business is transport. I operate this business with my motor bike in and around Gilgil. I usually transport people to various areas especially in the morning when going to work and in the evening when going home from their work. During normal working hours I always go to the nearby farms to collect farm produce to transport to Gilgil town as per the wish of my customers who always calls me through my mobile phone. These transport business does well because it earns me a living to educate and cater for my immediate family. I started this kind of business after I realized there was great demand for these kind of services which Is cheaper, faster and convenience. As compared to vehicle transport my service are cheaper making it a better choice to most of the people rather than that of my competitors. Among the challenges that I face Is lack of enough capital to purchase another motor bike so that I can employ somebody for increased profit. With zidisha platform I will achieve this dream.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders i am extremely happy to join zidisha. i intend to use the money to improve and grow my business. i will now have a chance to hire purchase another motorbike which i will do business with it and the old one i will employ somebody to ferry people and goods as per customers wish. this will definetly increase my income for better livelihood.
