About Me

my name is Salome wangare wahoya i was born on 13th august 1986 at nakuru being the first born in a family of 4 i started my primal education at flamingo primary in 1990 there after i joined menengai secondary where i did my o levels in 2001. in 2002, i joined Kenya medical training school to studie a course in pharmacy for three years completing in 2005 with a diploma in the same field. i worked with various organization including refugees help hands for 4 years. with some little savings from this employment i decided to start a chemist business. this was after i realized there my family had no enough money to educate my younger brothers and sisters. i settled in gilgil town where i operate the business up to date. its from the proceeds of this business that i have been able to by my family a peace of land where they are today settled and proud of my achievements.

My Business

my business is located in gilgil town . this is a relatively busy town with most of the inhabitants being civil servants, business community and farmers. i mainly deal with human and veterinary medicines. there is great demand for these commodities. my customers prefer my shop because my commodities are cheaper than my competitors i usually collect my merchandise from the city of Nairobi from direct importers where in return they are able to give me a better margin. the only risk i face is luck of laboratory equipment of which i intend to buy with the help of zidisha platform. the proceeds from the business are good since i am able to sustain myself and to pay my two workers and government taxes i look forward to perform better with zidisha platform.
