About Me

My name is Regina Wamaitha Waititu and a resident of Mangu estate in Nakuru county.am married with five boys all who are in various school here in Nakuru county.l dropped out of secondary school at form three due to lack of school fees.This forced me to look for employment in the informal sector as l had to earn a living and support my mother with paying school fees for my siblings.l was employed as a waitress in town and after working for some years my mother and l would cook food at home and sell to the residents of the Mangu center as packed lunch.However due to the demand of food l set up an hotel in Mangu center where am up to date.the income from the business enables me to pay the school fees for my children and help my aged mother as well as develop myself economically.

My Business

l have been in the hotel industry for more than ten years now.the business is very profitable as long as the customers needs are taken care of.l cook all types of dishes so as to maximize on sales.normally l do the cooking myself and get the food stuff mostly from the farmers.on average l make sales of ks 5,000 per day and a net profit of ks 2,000.though there is lot of competition due to many hotels in the area l make sure that my food is delicious and of good quality sand the prices are affordable to the customers.if advanced with the loan l will be able to buy another cooker so as to expand the business.

dear lenders i am very greatful to join zidisha. with my loan am going for the time being to add more stock of food in my hotel with this money and then i will repay this loan within a very short time so that i can be lended much more money. my dream is to buy a big cooker which will help me in supplying a lot of food when needed by my customers. thanks so much all my lenders
