About Me

Dear lenders, My names are Carol Minyoso. Since I left high school, i did not get a white collar job. I opted for brown collar job that were easy to come by. The pay was very small and could hardly cater for my basic needs. I therefore thought of a business idea. I started selling porridge at the construction sites because many buildings were coming up and there were many workers. Most of my customers appreciated my services and the quality of my porridge (locally called uji) and since then my business has picked up.

My Business

Dear lenders, My business involves waking up very early in the morning and preparing porridge for my customers. In my place of residence, Umojoa 2, many buildings are coming up and many people have taken construction work. There is a demand for food services from these workers as construction work involves a lot of energy. In many construction sites, workers are paid at the end of the week and so I sell porridge on credit for a whole week and get paid on the weekend. I have made arrangements with the site foremans such that on pay days, the money is deducted from them. I have also made arrangements with my suppliers who get me firewood, flour and sugar such that I also pay them on pay days. I am thinking of preparing chapatis and taking them to the sites. However I am limited because I get my earnings low. I get a profit of two thousand shillings per week and if I start selling chapatis, I am sure I will be makig double that amount.
