Loan Proposal

Dear Lenders

The loan shall service the following

(1) Chicken/Quail structures
(2) Land Preparation

This is my first time venturing into farming and as such i have minimized expenses by offering services (in my forte- web development) in exchange for the things for example i have agreed to create a website for Jane's quail farm (facebook) in exchange for about 100 quail, i also have done the same with Kelvin Gichohi Quail Incubators(facebook) and i am now the proud owner of an incubator, This has reduced the cost of starting up, i will need to buy chicken, if the same deals i have done for the quail and incubators do not come to fruition, as such THE CHICKEN/QUAIL STRUCTURES , are of utmost importance

On the land preparation for the Greens i intend to grow , Kale's, spinach, African night shade (lol not the poisonous variety) carrots , coriander, tomatoes and a number of indigenous plants that are of high demand in the area, the land preparation will ensure the soil is ready and reduce the chances of a failed harvest, as such the LAND PREPARATION is of utmost importance.

The sale of the above greens which are on high demand will initially help settle the debt, i also have a stable business which will come in handy in terms of aiding in the loan repayment. The chicken and quail are a long term investment and i believe the next loans should i succeed in getting a loan will dwell on expanding the chicken and quail sectors of the farm.

Subsequent Loans shall be paid at a much faster rate, after the business has stabilized

Hopefully the above information will help you understand my quest

Thank you
Eddy A.

    Hello Eddy,
Thank you for your first loan payment, which was posted today.
Were you able to begin work on the chicken and quail structures, or begin land preparation for crops?
We would be interested to hear of your progress as it happens.
    Best to you,
    marvin

Hi Eddy, and a big Thank You for replying to me. (Many folks don't bother to reply until they want a new loan.)
All I can say is farming can be a rewarding but difficult enterprise, as you are at the mercy of so many things beyond your control. It is fortunate that you have education and another occupation to support you while you wait.
Please do keep us informed of your progress, It's good to hear from you.

yes, very true farming can be very rewarding, my plan is to try make my venture work, then if i succeed and get enough experience get of a couple of interested parties from different countries and have a seat down, and try do commercial farming , that is plant crops that will grow well in kenya and export the crops to the respective countries, for example if you are in america and there are crops that are on demand and grow well in kenya we can agree i do the planting and management then export them to america, that will mean the market is already there and the point man who is you will be eager for they will be your crops too. land is still cheap in kenya and purchasing instead of leasing would be cheaper.. hopefully this shall one day come to fruition hahaha there you have it. that is my plan.
