My name is Jane Wambui Kimani and a resident of Kiamaina area of Nakuru town.am a a window with four children. l have three daughters and one son all who have their own families.my parents managed to educate me up to class seven before getting married. This is because the girl education was not valued by the the that time because the girls were married off to bring wealth to the family.married of at an early age.however after settling down and bringing up my children l started a poultry business to earn a living and stop depending on my husband. The business is very viable and do support my children with the earnings as well as improving my poultry business.when not busy at home l like threading ropes that l sell very at competitive price in our nearby market and am also an active member of my church.
doing poultry business is not only adventurous but also profitable.l have layers as well as broilers that enable me to make a living. on average l do keep like three hundred broilers at once they are mature after three months l sell to the main hotels in Nakuru and l do get ks 60,000 as profit and after deducting all the expenses. Though the broilers need a lot of care they are more profitable than the layers because with the layers the profit is long term.Food industry has always high demand and that why l ventured into the business.l normally source for the chicks from the Kenchick due to their availability and good grades.if advanced with the loan l will be able to add more stock hence more profit.
dear lenders with his first loan, i will buy a good high breed dairy feeds. this will help my cow to produce much more milk . am also planning to repay the loan in a very shot time so that i can get another bigger loan which will help me in making changes in my dairy farming.the milk in our area is in a very high demand
so am planning to make some changes in my farming so that i can buy a very good and productive cow.
