About Me

l Harrison Njoroge was born in Kiptwagwani location of nakuru county. l schooled in kiptagwani primary school and studied up to class seven since my parents passed away and l had to drop out of school and take care of my siblings.l started farming as a small scale farmer in my father farm which help me meet the needs of our family.iam married now and have seven children ie l have four girls and three boys.right now l have specialised in dairy farming and do supply milk to my neighbours who pay me on monthly basis and also sell to a local dairy company.

My Business

since l have specialised in dairy farming l do make sure that the milk l sell to my customers is clean compared to my competitors ie milk shop who collect from many farmers and mix to sell it to the customers. Also l do make sure that the supply is constant to my customers so that l don't have to loose my customers to my competitors. The risk of my business is manageable because l do make sure that my cows do get proper care in terms of treatment and feeding them.On a good month l do get ksh 30,000 as sales and spend ksh 7,000 on animal feeds and vaccine. Atleast from the dairy farming i do get ksh 20,000 as profit every month. This is due to the fact that the cows do graze on the farm so i do spend very little on the feeds.

Hi Harrison, thank you for your update. I am happy for you that your difficulties are over. Please understand, that it is better for all of us, yourself and us lenders, to tell us whenever you encounter a problem that makes it difficult for you top pay back. It is the only way we lenders can see the difference between frauds and serious entrepreneurs. Some lenders have lost such an amount of money, that they are afraid to loan again. I am sure, that most lenders will understand problems like illnessses, bad harvests, cow diseases and other catastrofes. But not knowing anything, makes one feel robbed. And losing money by some catastrofe feels quite different to beiing robbed, nobody likes that! So I wish you luck with your dairy operation and with your family!

Hello Harrison: My name is Hugh and I am one of the lenders who contributed to your Zidisha loan. I hope that the loan has helped you and that your dairy farming activities are going well. I know that your lenders would really appreciate a line from you to bring them up to speed with your news. Very best wishes from another part of the world that is much involved in dairy farming - Ireland! H

    Hello Harrison,
It is good to see the loan process done for you. I know sometimes the waiting can drive people crazy. We used to get our milk from one farmer instead of buying the blended. One time his cows got into the onion grass and the milk tasted very strange. Is your new Zidisha cow going to have a name? I think Zidisha would be good.
Best wishes for health, continued success and prosperity, Ann
