About Me

My name is Consolata Tembo Kadodo.Iam a Christian by religion and a Kenyan citizen.I reside in St.Mary's pastoral Estate within Nakuru Town,that is about 1.5 kilometers from the Town Center.I am also married with two kids now.
I am an entrepreneur and i started poultry farming 5 years ago.This is because jobs in the formal sector were not forthcoming and i had to earn a living so as to develop myself and my family.For now i have five hundred layers chicken and the business is very profitable.This enables me to provide for my family and develop myself economically.Am also an active Church member of my local Church assembly and i participate in various activities of the Church.

My Business

Poultry farming is so viable and a good business.I have 500 layers chicken that i collect 8000 eggs per month,which i sell to the local market and local hotels.This translates to 266 trays of eggs on which i sell one tray at USD 3.This enable me to earn USD 798 per month,after deducting all the expenses.The demand for eggs is so high here in Nakuru town due to the number of residents.Selling this eggs to the local market and hotels enables me to have minimum expenses on marketing because of the day of supply all .All the customers are being catered for on the same day and on convenience,therefore minimizing the breakage of the eggs as the delivery point and collection point in close.If advanced with the loan from zidisha Micro-finance,i will be able to add more layers chicks so as to increase the production of eggs and sales.

Dear lenders,I want to take this opportunity and thank the entire Zidisha platform for granting me the chance to grow my business and make a difference unto my life.I am a poultry farmer here in Nakuru and i will use the money advanced to me to buy the layers chicks so that to increase the production of eggs that will enable me to earn more income.I am very positive that my business will grow and i will be able to offer my family a better and decent life and have the largest poultry farm in the region.Thank you all.
