About Me

I live in Kiptangwanyi shopping center which is approximately 43km from Nakuru town. Nakuru town is our nearest major town within this area. I am married with three children who are all in school. I live in plot number 31 at the shopping center where I carry out my business with my family. My business entails a retail shop at the shopping center.

My Business

My business entails the retail shop at the shopping center. I purchase my supplies from Nakuru town which is nearer and cheaper. The goods that I sell range from mere foodstuffs, home use items and other shop commodities. The main challenges that this business encounters are lack of finance to frequently increase the business stock and high cost of electricity.

Loan Proposal

Dear Lenders,
I would like to use my loan to add more stock in my business and also to expand the room in which I operate my business in. Secondly, i would like to start purchasing cereals at my shop as this is the time farmers are harvesting their products from their shambas and therefore I would like to take this chance to purchase the products at a relatively good price. I will then store the cereals and wait for the time when there is a shortage and sell them.

    Dear Hannah,
how are you doing? I have been wondering whether you did open the second shop, and if that was the cause of your difficulties. Please let us know - also for the sake of others who may be considering expansion themselves, and might benefit from your advice - and please remember that any small, irregular payment is better than no installment payment at all.

    All the best,
    Mårten

    Dear Lenders,

My name is Klaudia and I am a Zidisha Volunteer.
We experienced problems contacting Mrs Wanjiru. She was supposed to resume repaying in August so we are still waiting for her payments.

We will of course update you once we get in touch with Hannah.

    Regards,
    Klaudia

    Hello Hannah,

I'm sad to hear that your business is not doing well. I hope it will pick up soon. Were you able to open the second shop? It always takes time for a new shop to start making profits. Plus, your need for stock doubles.

Best wishes for health for your hard-working family and more customers, Ann (namaste250)

    Dear lenders,
I wish to extend my repayment period by two months. My business has been doing well and thus I would like to have some more time to make the business more overcome these challenges that it is undergoing.
The dry season which has recently ended has had a negative impact to the business and I am glad that the rains are now here with us and it is my hope that all will be well again.

    Dear Lenders,
I hope you have all started well the year 2013 well. As for me and my family all is well and the business is doing well. The month of December has been a good one and the business did well. The revenues for the month were good and have prompted me to repay all my outstanding repayment balance. Thank you all lenders for giving me an opportunity to improve my business.
