About Me

I live in Kiptangwanyi shopping center which is approximately 45km from Nakuru town. Nakuru town is our nearest major town within this area. I am married with one child who is in school. I live in my own plot at the shopping center where I carry out my business. I live in plot number 50 with my family. My business entails a pool table at the shopping center and I am also a public service vehicle driver of a matatu that plies between Kiptangwanyi and Nakuru.

My Business

My business entails a pool table that is at the shopping center. The business is profitable especially during weekends when people are not at work.I am also a matatu driver that plies between Kiptangwanyi shopping center and Nakuru town via Elementaita. The main challenges that this business encounters are lack of finance to to expand the business and also poor roads that link Kiptangwanyi shopping center with the neighboring towns

Loan Proposal

Dear Lenders,
I would like to use my loan to purchase a new modern pool table. This will enable me to serve more customers especially during the weekends and holidays when the business is at the peak. I would also like to expand the room in which I operate my business in and create more space for my customers.

    Dear lenders,
This is Analin Saturria McGregor, Country Liaison Manager at Zidisha. I lead the efforts in following up with our clients in arrears across our portfolio.
Communication with Peter and his additional contacts has been difficult and sporadic, despite the multiple attempts of Volunteer Mentors and staff. Peter has provided a couple of expected repayment dates after his last payment in April, which have not been met. When we've tried to contact him to determine what happened, we've received no response. Peter reports he's been having serious problems on his business since May. As of today, he has not yet recovered from losses incurred while doing business in Kiambogo last May.
We are working with Peter in assessing a repayment schedule he can commit to in a timely manner without jeopardizing his well-being. We will keep you posted as we know more.
Please accept our apologies in not informing you sooner or our attempts to communicate with Peter.
    Sincerely,

    Analin Saturria McGregor
    Country Liaison Manager
    Zidisha

    Hi Peter,
Do you have an idea of when you will be able to get back on track with repayment?

    Dear Lenders,
I would like to extend my repayment schedule with one month. This is because the business has not been doing well. This is why I am appealing for one more month. I am hoping that I will have settled and the business will have stabilized and I will be able to repay my loan without any difficulty. There is also good harvest and thus the plenty of food is good for the business as the purchasing power will be high.

Dear Peter, the one month postponement of repayments is no problem, as far as I am concerned anyway. But has the new, modern pool table already been bought and delivered to you? Can you send a photo? Were you also able to expand the room already? I hope business picks up very soon! Ginoir
