l Rachel Wanjira Kamau live in Bahati of Nakuru county and do business in Nakuru and its environment.l attended kiamaina primary school and later joined Nakuru high school where l completed my secondary education.am married with three kids and all are in secondary school. My husband is a businessman and has a agrovet shop in Bahati centre.l have a boutique shop in bahati centre where l have specialised in children wear.l started this business because there was an opportunity for this business in the area and since there was no competition. most of the income from the business l do re-invest in adding more stock.
I choose this business because of the demand in the market and especially for new borns. most of the customers prefer new clothes to second hand clothes and this makes the demand always constant.l do get my stock from Nairobi and make sure that quality comes first so as to avoid having dead stock in the shop.my stock is of ksh 200,000, and always buys new stock two times a month off peak season.l do get an average of kshs 25,000 per month and this enables me to meet my family needs.for most of the stock l put a profit margin of 30%.l always ensure that my prices are competitive in the market so as to retain customers and attract new ones.
dear lenders,l wish to take this opportunity to thank the Zidisha platform for giving a chance to grow my business and join the other entrepreneurs.God bless you all.l will use the money to add more stock to my business and especially for the newborns. This will enable me to meet the demand of my customers.
