my name is virginia wanjiru mungo. i live in kiptagwanyi center, kiptagwanyi is about 45 kilometer from nakuru. i am married and bless with 5 children who are schooling in muriricua primary school. my husband have also a small butchery.i was born in 1978 in kanorero village in kiambogo location nakuru district. i started my education in kanorero primary school and later after completing primary education join muriricua secondary school and before i complete form four i was married by my husband ,so i drop from school to care for my husband. the earning from this business help my family. from my earning from this business, i was able acquire a plot in this area where we have built a homestead and also able to pay for my children school fees

My Business

my business deal with vegetable and fruit of all kind which i sell to the people around this center. my business is profitable because i have a good relationship with the surrounding hotel where i supply to them every day vegetable to cook for their customers. also i supply to the people who are employee by the government in this area like teachers, aps, and many who want ready prepared vegetable because they don't have much time because of their job. in that way i have made many customers. i get my product from the farmer around and sometime from nakuru where the price is low thus giving me profit. and also i have a small potion of land where i have plated vegetable and i use irrigation so every time i get green vegetable. the main challenge is high price of commodity which is accelerated by drought. poor road ,high cost of living
