About Me

My name is Jane Wanjiku Muraya and am a resident of Gilgil town that is on Nakuru -Nairobi highway.am not married and l do business in the town where l operate a hotel.after completing my primary education l was not able to join secondary school due to lack of school fees.This forced me to go into employment so as to earn a living and l was employed as a waitress in a hotel for a period of two years.however l thought of starting my own business as at first l would cook food at home and then supply to my customers in town.Due to high demand of my food and with the help of my brother l have managed to open a hotel in town. l use my income to support my siblings who are in secondary school and part of the income l do use to expand the business.

My Business

l have been in business for five years and the food business is good and profitable.This is because l make sure that l observe hygiene in the hotel and my food is delicious and of good quality.l personally do cooking where l make various dishes at affordable prices so as to attract and retain my customers.my business is located near the bus terminal as this place has a lot of people.l buy foodstuff worth ks 2,000 per day and after selling l make a profit of ks 3,500 per day.though there is lot of competition l make sure that the food is good and meet the customers demand.if advanced with the loan l will buy a fridge so as to help me in preserving the raw foodstuffs.

dear my lenders , its great to me to join zidisha. with this first loan, i will now be able to purchase more food which i then cook and sell as first food in our town. am planning to try my best and made a ready made food which help most of the travellers.i will expand my small hotel into a bigger hotel and then my vision is to serve more customers in this town
