l salome sialala was born in kongasis of Nakuru county where l attended kongasis primary school and later joined kiptagwanyi secondary school.from there l started l was trained as a saloonist and later on l put my own business in kongasis centre since there were not many in the area.l saw an opportunity and decided to open up a cosmetic shop.l live with my parents and l have one kid who is nine years of age.from the income of my business l am able to pay her school fees and help my parents.l also do have a green grocer that l sell vegetables, fruits and which l have located it outside of my cosmetic shop. l have diversified the business so as to increase my income.
the business is good since am in touch with my customers and do make sure that l offer the best service. The demand is always there and l do charge my customers fairly so that l can retain them.the cosmetic shop gives me around ksh 10,000 as profit and l do get like25,000 from the saloon since its a service business there minimum risk associated with it. As for the cosmetic shop l always make sure that l don't have dead stock since new fashion comes up everyday and must keep up with the fashion. as for the cosmetic stock l do buy the stock in nakuru and always have a minimum of 30%as profit margin.l do manage the business by myself and this has enabled me on reducing the expenses in that l don't pay for the labour
