About Me

my name is Glorine Jepkorir Kangoge and do reside in Kiti estate of Nakuru town.am graduate in bachelor of business administration and not married l started my business three years ago after a long search for a white collar job with no success.l do business in town where l own a milk bar.the business is good as this has enabled me to earn a living and support my mother in paying school fees for my siblings.also do save part of my income so as expand the business.am also an active member of my local church and mostly l participate in youth project.

My Business

selling of milk is good business and very profitable despite the high risk associated with the business.l get the milk from one supplier who collect the milk from the farmers and resell the milk to us.on average l sell around 150 liters of milk daily at a profit of ks 5 per liter. this gives me an average of ks,12,000 as net profit.though the business is very risky l always make sure that the milk is clean and do test it to make sure its not mixed with water or other stuff before selling to customers. this enables me to attract and retain customers. if advanced with the loan l will buy another bigger freezer so as to maximize on the sales.

dear roberta am so happy to join lenders all over the world.i believe that this loan will by all means help me to improve my business. looking forward to make my repayment before time so that i can be lended a higher amount of loan to boost my business. i have a lot of friends who are interested in joining this platform, but this facebook field is a big barrier. most of kenyans do not use f b. is it possible for your org to remove this field and look any other method which can let friends who are capable to make repayments join this worderful platform? i look forward to here from you. this f b is mostly used by young generation who might not make the repayments. let the active people join this platform.am so happy to join zidisha and i need my active friends to join also. thanks so much and have a very nice moment.

      Hi Glorine,
I'm happy to hear from you.
You are right when you say that the new Facebook requirements may be a barrier for many borrowers in Kenya who do not use Facebook, but are capable to manage a loan. But as you know, being a regular computer user is very important to be a Zidisha member since all the application process and communication with lenders in done through our website, over the Internet. So, the Facebook requirement is just a way to identify borrower that are more confident with the use of new technologies.Otherwise, many difficulties may arise during the application and repayment processes. And it's just a try, we will see what happens next!
      All the best,
      Roberta
