About Me

I am a third born in a family of five,ambitious,self esteemed and hardworking lady. I am well educated through the 8-4-4 system and later joined job field.I first worked as sales representative at Phone solutions in Meru before moving to Sovereign Telecoms as a manager.The company dealt in sale of mobile phones and accessories and my task was stock and sales management across all the branches country wide.Its from this job that I gathered enough experience in the business and most importantly,the purchasing and supply chain as well as profit margins.This hence drove me to start my own business.

My Business

My business is fully on mobile phones and accessories.Am positioned at a very strategic place with a good population.Most of the area occupants are employee in the local town banks,institutes,petrol stations as well as private sectors and students from surrounding colleges.This therefore creates a good customer base for my business.I purchase phones and accessories from Nairobi wholesalers whom I'm well known to since when I was under employment in the same field of business.This therefore enables me purchase the stock at a relatively cheaper price compared to my competitors hence a reduction in my selling price, attracting more customers.The only risk experienced is from notorious students who try to use every means to fraud and get free accessories but with proper counter check and careful handling you normally notice their deceptive ideas and send them away or advice them.currently, I operate on a KSH.45,000 capital and always manage an average weekly profit of KSH6,000 and I have managed save and purchased small plot back at my home village.I hence intend to increase my working capital to KSH.60,000 to meet the customer demand.

Dear Zidisha Lenders,
I appreciate the entire Zidisha team for giving me this opportunity to expand my business.
Am planning to use the loan to add stock. I have been loosing several customers who mainly request for cheap and multi applications phones most preferably the china models. I will also add mobile accessories like batteries,earphones,casings,keypads,memory cards and memory card readers.With the addition on capital, I will manage to purchase them in bulk and hence enjoy economies of scale and discounts.
