my name is Rose Njeri Kuria and a resident of LangaLanga Estate of Nakuru town that is along the Kanu street. When l completed my secondary education l got married and do have one child. My husband is also a businessman and started the dairy farming business together with the poultry business three years ago so as to earn a living and provide for my family.l use part of my income to expand the business by buying more chicken as well as meet the financial needs for my family.also am a active member of my local church and l participate in various projects.
dairy farming business is very viable here in Nakuru.l have two dairy cows that produce an average of twenty liters of milk every day.l sell the milk mostly to the local resident of the estate at ks 40 per liter and this enables me to have an average income of ks 15,000 after deducting expenses such as feeds and the wages for my employee.also the poultry business is good as l deal with broilers for meat and sell them to the main hotels here in Nakuru .The business is also profitable but requires good management so as to avoid losses due to diseases.if advanced with the loan l will diversify the business and buy turkey so as to sell eggs and turkey for meat as there is a lot of demand for these products.
