Background:
I started jewelry designer in beadwork and polymer clay. Initially, I taught myself, with the help of children at the orphanage and instruction manuals. Later I decided to work it out. This led to making of jewelry at the orphanage in the village. I became more interested in jewelry designer, soapstone & in African fashion like bags, clothes at the age of teenage after several incarnations: looking up for my dreams vision in then many years as a student, and now at 23 years am now in business promoting my vision and mission and helping this kid at the orphanage where I can.
How I Work:
All of my jewelry is designed by me with the hand help of the kids fabricated by me from milled raw materials such as gold sheet, wire, tubing , solder bones plastic, wood, ceramic, coral, glass & bamboo., I string myself. Some of the things you see in work were made from the cutting and polishing of soapstone. I
Inspiration:
I seldom need to look beyond the richness of African fashion to find inspiration. As a jewelry designer, I am always searching for creative ways to frame, embellish, complement and/or contrast with a soap stone or interesting combination of thins also in making the bags. That search has led me to explore different thing like African to an effort of expand my design, in the future inspiration also emerges from the work we do itself.
Awards:
As African fashion with jewelry designer, my biggest reward comes from the pleasure that the people derive from seeing, owning and wearing my jewelry. I do confess, however, to great pride in the award of this young vision and mission that the lord has given me. Just this year as I kick my dream off took me by word of faith. That we are going to make it in the market
