About Me

My names are Tiberious gitene a last born in a family of eight in Kenya on march 25th 1994.My father an elementary school teacher in a country where teachers are hardly well remunerated found it quit challenging raising such a big family in a third world country and a county with limited resources.I grew up to share the limited resources with my sisters and brothers plus my orphaned and extremely poor cousins back here in my village. My parents brought me up as a hardworking person forced to rise up early to attend farm work on school holidays .I grew up a self motivated person and joined a local primary school later joining high school. I passed and secured a course in computer science at Jomo Kenyatta University of agriculture and technology here in Kenya where i currently undertaking my third year studies. So far it has been challenging raising my tuition fees and other studying expenses my father having retired and surviving on his retirement benefits. Thanks to a few initiatives i had early undertaken.

My Business

Having grown up in a family that depended on subsistence farming for survival.Immediately after finishing high school i fully dedicated myself to farmimg and with the little piece of land my father has he had offered me a half acre of land where i planted bananas and kales commonly known as "sukuma wiki" a swahili word to mean help push the week. The farm can raise me an average figure of kshs5000 equivalent to $50 monthly. This little farm helped me open a small movie and sofware distribution stall first of its kind in a shopping center"Nyakoe" in my village an idea i got once i joined college. This stall has improved my earnings by 50% and with little support from my parents who still have a couple of responsibilities i have been able to pursue my dream in the world of computer science.Having grown up in a poverty stricken background i have a dream of helping counter the situation.I believe that even the poorest of them can still be helped and given the power to also help others.I plan to come up with programs and projects that will help sensitize, educate and employ people in the world of information technology within my hometown and my country as a whole.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders,
I first of all take this golden opportunity to thank the zidisha community for accepting me to join and be able to create a loan proposal.I am planning to expand my little movie and software distribution stall to able to accommodate up to ten desktop computers that will enable me run a cyber cafe first of its kind here in my shopping center. The people here are forced to travel 70 miles to seek for these services that have become a necessity in the current world and i happen to be no exception. With my little savings i have accumulated over time i managed to purchase 9 fully set second hand desktops in good condition at a cost of $250 to help me jump start my project.I have run short of little cash that will enable me start the project.I hereby request the lenders to kindly give to my loan application to help me raise these funds.I will purchase 4 pieces of chip board 3m by 2m each costing $40. The remaining amount will be used to purchase nails and pay the carpenter who will undertake this job and serve other miscellaneous expenses.Immediately the cyber gets running i estimate to be earning an average figure of $5 everyday and since i have to repay the loan weekly i will save all through the week to pay you back the loan.Thank you once again for this opportunity i have never experienced before.
