About Me

Greetings from Kenya. I am Edward. I live in a rural community called Ndhiwa. I am passionate about my liquid soap and allied making business. I get my raw materials from Nairobi and make my products at home. I use my desk top computer to manage my operations. Through this, I have become self employed and look forward to setting up a light industry in my community. This in my opinion will help more young people to also get jobs.

My Business

My Zidisha Loans are a great source of my business financing. Since I had to start with small loans, I used to invest these in transporting both raw materials and stocks to my clients. As a result, I have been able to meet my orders promptly.

With the increase in my credit score, I look forward to investing my loans directly into raw materials and transport for my contract supplies. This will see me make two profits: my present capital will meet my family budget while the new stocks will meet my business budget.

On average, I presently make about Kshs. 7.500/- per week in profits. I look forward to doubling this up with my new loans.

Loan Proposal

Purchase raw materials in Nairobi and transport to my store in Ndhiwa.

Thank you Paul for lending to the me. I will use the sum to buy more stocks for my detergent making business. This will increase my family income and so improve our living condition. Our products help our clients to do laundry, clean toilets and related places, disinfect surfaces. This improves general sanitation among our customers.
We intend to one day buy larger equipment and put up a cottage industry which will also create local employment opportunities in our community.
    Kind regards.

My last loan helped me to transport my stocks to my customers promptly. This helped me to generate income that I invested in a local chicken project. My profits paid a local builder who helped me to build the chicken house in the photo. I now have eleven chicken. I look forward to getting eggs and meat for my family from this project.

The small loan gave me a low ranking with Zidisha which is discouraging. Its commercial value is also very disappointing as I had to incur a membership fee of 1,000/- to Zidisha. Logically, one cannot invest Kshs.15 in business. In short, the loan ate into my capital. This repeat loan is equally too small to make meaningful economic returns
In my most considered opinion as a business man, the small loan amount cannot bring a business meaning except it is a Public Relations tool with a lender who is not business minded. For Zidisha, it only paints you as a hoax. A team of people who do not understand market realities.
Let someone relook at the packages otherwise, Zidisha is on its way to irrelevance as an idea whose time came but whose runners squandered.

I am glad to confirm my receipt of my first loan of Kenya shillings twelve. It gave me a new understanding of how online lending works.
I thank all lenders who build up bridges like this one.
    Kind regards.
    Edward.
