About Me

I was born in a humble family of 4 boys ,my father was a low cadre civil servant who was retired early on health grounds and my mother was a primary school teacher.
I am a small scale trader dealing in personal care products like cosmetics, beauty products and diapers. I own a small shop along Mombasa road.
We grew up in hardship and lack in the Eastlands areea of Nairobi, Kenya.I struggled through school and managed to pass my exams and joined Egerton University where i graduated with a B.A.degree course.Finding a job was not easy, so instead of waiting, I decided to start my own business of selling personal care products.

My Business

I Purchase products at wholesale prizes from importers and resell at retail prices making a small profit in form of mark up price. i use the proceeds to purchase larger quantities and reinvest 75% the profits back to my business.I have had a desire to enlarge and increase my business for a long time now. I have been unable to do so mainly due to lack of capital. When i heard of Zidisha from a friend, I was so excited as I realized that my prayers have been answered. As I apply for this loan, I anticipate to increase my business and increase my giving to the needy in society. I also sell adult diapers which are very much in demand with very few suppliers. Ailing adults who are unable to control bowel movements need them on a daily basis. My typical costs include transport, delivery and storage costs. My two sons are in school and I use some of the profits for their school fees.

Loan Proposal

With the loan amount I will order for more stocks of diapers to stock in my shop. With the enhanced stocks , i will embark on an aggressive marketing campaign to market the diapers and thereby increasing sales.I am confident I will sell them all within a short time period because they are of good quality and manufactured in Turkey. I will also take some time to visit the poor in my community and bless some needy parents who have small children with some diapers for free. This will be a form of social responsibility for my business.
I intend to plough back 75% of the proceeds from the sales back into the business as reinvestment. In this way , I will be able to repay the loan amount and grow my business.
