I Was born in 1978 in Kiambu county in Kenya. In 1984 we relocated to Maai Mahiu town in Nakuru county. The same year I joined nursery school. In 1985 I joined primary school in Maai Mahiu primary school. I completed primary school in 1992 and joined secondary school in 1993.I completed secondary school in 1996.When I completed secondary school my mom got sick and succumbed to cancer illness in 1997.My Dad had retired from the teaching profession in 1995.There was no money for me to further my education. I started walking around looking for odd jobs like feeding and milking cows, digging, weeding and construction. In 1999 I started teaching a Sunday school class in my local church. After teaching Sunday school children for three years I realised that I was talented in teaching. In 2003 I asked for a chance to teach in a formal primary school which I succeeded. I devoted myself fully to the duty and after only one year of teaching, I was promoted to head the school though I was untrained. I was able to train as teacher at this time. I got married to Janet in 2005 Currently we are blessed with three children.Peter-9years old. Rahab -5years and Victor 1year old.Our first born would like to be alectuter, second born would like to be adoctor.I like seeing pupils in class learning.
Today I offer education services both in ECDE and primary education. Maai Mahiu town is a densely populated area with only one public primary school which has a population of more than 2000pupils .There are more than 6000school going children hence the need for education services. After heading several schools around Maai Mahiu town,I thought I had enough experience to learn my own school.. Ispend much of my income in paying my staff. I have205 children who pay an average of 20 dollars per term. I spend three quarters of my income in paying my staff. I use an eighth to cater for the premises and basic needs like chalks, pens etc.The small profit that I make I use it in expanding
Kenya has introduced a new curriculum which is now mostly involved with digital Literacy as one of the co competencies. I am in dire need of several computers that children in grade one,two and three can use as they are the affected classes by the new curriculum. With your support I will be able to buy two desk top computers which will serve the purpose of digital Literacy before I can be able to purchase laptops. With the desk tops I will feel a bit safe in this business. With your help I believe that I will go very far.Thank you in advance.
