About Me

I am Jared Bosire born In Kisii County living at Gesonso as my home and currently Iam living at Dandora in Niarobi where I have my small business . I finished my primary school at Gesonso and secondary school after a long struggle with school fees at Giakanja secondary school in 2007, in Nyeri county. the delay was because I was on and off in school due to lack of school fees. After getting my certificate in 2008, I practiced asa untrained primary school teacher at Gesonso Primary to raise some cash to further my college education. This never materialized as planned as my mom got sick on and off consequently affecting my savings impacting in my education in the long run. This is when i moved to Nairobi to stay with my Uncle where I started the idea of selling second hand clothes in 2010.

My Business

I got interested in doing business when realizing I had no means to survive in 2010, I could not even afford my own clothes by then as my uncle had a big family to support. Being a man I had to come out and fend for myself and this is when Started selling second hand clothes along the road in Dandora, from a capital of Ksh. 5000 Mary go round. I concentrated on ladies clothing as ladies often had to buy. I got popular with that as they knew me as man discount on top of a discount. I expanded my portfolio to include laddies hand bags from Gikomba market and continued saving with the Mary go round with an intention of one day having my own Shop where customers could reach me. By Then I had never thought of going to college as the business was picking. The only unfortunate event was in 2012 when the shops along the road side where we used to keep our stock caught fire and my stock got consumed reducing back to Zero. I was frustrated and there after I went to Construction companies as casual worker where I could make 300KES a day. I did this till early 2013 when my turn came to get Mary go round. I Felt i had enough capital since the group members had increased to 46. I sought Advice from my Uncle and he advised me to think of continuing with my business as I prepare to go to college in 2014 since he was to help me pay my college fees . I got a stock of 15,000 KES of ladies clothes as i did before then till 2014. When he subsidized my school fees from the little I had. I got admission at Technical University of Kenya for Diploma In Business Management to help build my business skills. I continued with the business to help pay my school fees and now i have a shop where Customers will reach me . If I get this loan I will replenish my stock to include different ladies accessories like human hair and different beauty lotions.

Loan Proposal

If I get the loan I am planning to increase my stock to a bout 50,000KES and relocate my business to the next mall about 50m , which is more secured and easily accessible. In addition to this the Mall has electricity meaning I ca sell even till early evening hours. with the loan I will introduce variety of ladies staffs so that I can get more customers with a frequent turn over and thus get profit to help me pursue my education as well. I plan to get a lady who will be opening during the day as currently I can only open in the evening when I am Back from College. This will increase sales and more profits at teh end of the day and help me pay back my loan in good time to increase my limit.
