About Me

Am Geoffrey , the 1st born in our Family , grey up and schooled in kajiado County with the Maasai community. I am a trained Information Technology expert with a passion in IT Currently, I am an IT entrepreneur.. I used to work with a tour company as the web manager and IT technician until i resigned and started freelancing in web development and graphic design.

Besides consuming loads of Graphic design journals and trends, I am into current affairs and I like watching latest local and international news and Documentaries whenever I get the opportunity off work. I like knowing things around me and the world in general.

My Business

I run printing business where I print full photos, passport / ID / Driving License photos, documents, brochures, business cards, posters and banners . I also photograph events like birthday parties, home coming parties, weddings, get-together events, then print the photos.

On a normal day i make between USD 20- USD 30 daily but on good days i can make up to USD 40.

My long term goal is to have a complete Photo Studio . Having a studio can increase my earning by close to 50% because currently the Kenyan market for professional photos is very big, and there is a vast area to focus on from portrait photos , magazines, political campaigns, events such as weddings, funerals and much much more.

I use 30% of my daily takings to cover my personal and family expenses, and 70% to cover my business expenses, including rent electricity, and materials."

Loan Proposal

I need a new printer for the business. I currently have one printer which I use to print both photos and documents. Sometimes it becomes hard to clear customer requests when there are clients who need both photos and documents. I intend to separate the two functions. I need printer for document printing so that the other printer is for only photos. I have identified a good HP laser printer that costs Ksh. 15000 (Approximately 170 USD). With a loan of 9000, i will comfortably add the Ksh. 6000 balance and purchase the printer.
