About Me
I am Juliet Akinyi,I am the second born among 5 siblings,I went to sikulu primary school and our lady of mercy secondary school. I then jined Ksangalo for certificate in secretarial studies.
I got a job as personal assistant to an NGO officer but the job was not well saving.I met my old friend who was doing well and she advised me to try farming ,with $200 savings I started farming as a side hustle but the income from farming was so much than my salary and therefore decided to quit and concentrate on farming.
I come from the luo community in western Kenya,Luos are kind loving and the US president Barrack Obama has his roots here.
I have daughter and she wants to be a pilot when she grows up because she loves planes.
my hobbies include singi,dancing and making new friends.
My Business
I do grow vegetables in farm which I sell to school and house hold around me.The demand is high because of my good quality produce and good prices I provide to my clients as well as scarcity of vegetables.
I choose farming because it had more income than white collar job.
My smoothly typical costs are $200 and monthly revenues are $450 per month.I spend the proceeds on farm ,improvement through purchase of equipment and expansion,paying fees for siblings and kids and home improvement.
Loan Proposal
I thank zidisha team for admission and these great opportunity to change my fortunes. I wish to borrow $200 and would use the money to buy a donkey for transportation.the donkey would help me transport my produce from the farm to market and I would also hire it out to neighbors. I expect my income to increase by $100 as i will cut on my transportation cost and benefit on hiring the donkey out.
