About Me

I come from a family of six,4 sisters and 2 brothers.both of my siblings are at various schools here in Eldoret town.I am currently a second year student at Alphax college pursuing a diploma in arts.My dad is a small scale farmer whereas my mum is a nurse.Due to their low income,we are often faced with financial constraints and thus i decided to start a small farming project at home to help improve our lives and to help pay fees.I leased a quarter-acre piece of land where i plant onions, tomatoes and potatoes.from the profits gotten,i use it to buy pesticides and seedlings.

My Business

My project is based on a Quarter acre piece of land at langas area.I have divided it into three portions, one consisting of onions, potatoes and the other of tomatoes. They generally take a grace period of between 2-4 months to mature and get harvested. My tomatoes are at initial stages of ripening whereas the onions will take upto extra 2 more months to mature.M y main challenge is pesticides especially of tomatoes that are very fragile at its ripening stage.I enjoy a reliable market since i sell the produce to wholesale retailers who come directly to the farm and hence supplying risk is greatly reduced. If given the loan, ill use it to purchase seedlings, pesticides and watering cans to help me in irrigation.I usually get a net profit of ksh 60000 after a 4-month cycle. If i get the loan, ill repay it from the profits i get and save a little for fees.

Loan Proposal

if given the loan,Ill use it to expand my quarter piece of land and buy more tomatoes seedlings to help me expand my farm to grow more tomatoes since if well taken care of,they bring in more returns.Ill use about ksh 4,000 to buy five watering cans so as to assist me in the watering of my tomatoes and onions that are currently wilting due to hot sun.The rest of the money ill use it to buy tomatoes and onions pesticides like septoria leaf spot and Fusarium and Verticillium Wilt.I greatly believe that if given the the loan,it will not only greatly help me personally but will also give me a fair ground to help my siblings and the whole community at large.I assure lenders that i wont fail them.

Hello Lenders I have tried getting in contact with Dorcas but still can't reach her. I am still making efforts to reach her and encourage her to repay her loan

Very disappointing you have not attempted to repay any of the loan. This is money that, if repaid, could have gone back into zidisha to fund someone else.

I have tried calling Dorcah through the contacts she provided and her own contact is out of service while those close to her like her family and community leaders claim not to know her. Eventually I was not able to reach her
