About Me

I am a Zambian lady aged 32, single with 3 children. I was born in a family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters, and I am the fourth born of Mr. and Mrs. James Phiri. I got married at the age of 16,and after living together with my husband for 9 years,he (my husband) died and left me with 3 children, eventually life became hard and I ended up suffering without knowing what to do. During this time I experienced up and down type of life, being a young widow, it wasn't easy. Until I decided to start business, since I didn't finish school. The business that I am doing is selling dry fish, beans, tomatoes and other types of vegetables.

You will be happy to know little about our country Zambia; it is a land locked country with a lot of tourist attraction such as Game Parks and Victoria Falls -which is one of the seven wonders of the world. And there are very friendly and hard working people in Zambia, who always aim at progressing and love to associate with people of different culture. We like seeing people progress i

My Business

My passion has always been to do business in the category of food industry - and from the onset of my business I have been selling relish such as dry fish, beans, tomatoes and other types of vegetables. Fish is always on high demand this part of the nation, and sometimes sells like hot cake, due to the fact that they are imported from neighboring country Malawi. Normally I do have stock worth $450, and dry fish cost $1.20 and a cup of beans cost $0.40. When the business is on a pick I make $40 per day.
Part of the profits that I make from my business I do reinvest in growing the business, home improvement and paying my children's school fees.

Loan Proposal

1. Dry fish at $150
2. Transport at $20

The loan that hopefully I will be funded will greatly help in boosting my business and sustain my family, it will further help my children's school fees. I will also use part of the profit to repay the loan, so that others are helped.
