I am Ahori Felix Momaya, a fourth year student of Medicine at The University of Nairobi. I was born in kisii Kenya and brought up in the best of morals. I was always a bright student, though from a humble background. My father being a small scale Carpenter and my mother being a farmer, my hopes of joining a good high school were very minimal.
I worked very hard in primary and scored 427 marks out of 500 in the primary national exams (KCPE). I received a very relieving call up to Starehe Boys' Center and School in 2009 where I was fully sponsored by the Martyn Donaldson Music Trust(MDMT) of Manchester. I had lots of stomach and duodenal problems due to H.Pylori gastritis that came my way while in form 2. considering my background, overcoming the problem would have been very hard had it not been the school and my sponsor's intervention. I ended up scored a mean grade of A and joined the University of Nairobi to take a degree in Medicine.
Surviving campus has been to hard. Having had siblings that needed education too, my parents let me loose to fend for myself, from tuition fees, accommodation, and health. I had to start working part time in institutions teaching Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. I've so far taught at Nyamonaria High school, Nduru girls high school, St. Monica girls high school and Milkan School in Nairobi. I also write poems, mashairi ya kiswahili, and novels as a hobby.
Schools open on Monday, tomorrow, finding me with no full fee payment amounts, hence prompting me to apply for a loan. Am looking forward to completing my studies with the help of Zidisha and rewrite my story with success and accomplishments.
I have no business mainstay. I do many kinds of jobs and businesses. I am currently dealing in motorcycles provided by Kanos/ Evalast motors, with whom I've worked for the past year. This is a business that offers lots of space for market expansion, improvements and assured customer satisfaction. It also primarily brings with it coverable profits. I also tutor in various institutions to earn some extra cash.
the loan would go towards helping me acquire stationery for my studies. as the loan grows, I'd love to use it in paying my fees and accomadation in the long run. This loan would be used as follows.
$0.9- pens
$2.0- writing material
$2.6- laboratory report book
