Am Mary Kibui Ng’ang’a and a resident of Naivasha Estate that is 90 kilometers from Nairobi City, and in Nakuru County. l am married with two sons who are in primary school level. l am a business lady , I choosed this field after graduating from the high school level and I was not able to join any college at that time. This has enabled me to learn a lot about the sector to be able to fit and accommodate my life and family well. My first business was a dairy shop that I started with the saving that I was given by my mother and little that I had saved. l used to do well since at my area there were no shop of the like and that enabled me to save and added another service of selling mineral water since Naivasha has been known one of the towns with salty water. My income is to provide for my family as well as re-invest back to the business.
My business is located along the Kenyatta street of Naivasha town. I deal with the livestock products (Milk & Eggs) as well as mineral water, and currently I have managed to add an M-pesa Shop. To minimize on my expenses l buy my stock direct from the farmers & Water Company as they are cheaper instead of buying from the middle-men (Brokers as referred by many). l sell the products at a profit margin of 15% which enables me to make Kshs 25,000-30,000 as net profit after deducting business expenses such as rent, electricity and many other revenues that are taxed.
Since there is lot of competition here in Naivasha l make sure that my prices are less from my competitors and that enables me to sell more and affordable to my customers. At times l do arrange on how delivery are made at home and offices for my customers who are out of town and who buy large quantities for sale.
My regards to the whole Zidisha for the first loan you awarded me. i have been able to raise my priofit margin with a good percentange and saved much, i would wish to have my second application and this time i wish to invest more on my poultry farming and dairy business, we are onb a rainny season in our country and that makes milk production high, from the farmers. Im going to use this loan as follows 300$ on getting on eggs and 150$ on milk purchases out of teh previous loan i got i wsa able to stock more on mineral water and teh business if fairing well. Thank you in advance as you fund my proposal...
