About Me

I was born and raised in Kiplokyi area of Bomet county to a family of 6 children. I attended Kiplokyi primary school and thereafter Kongotik girls. My parents were primarily farmers and kept poultry as their main source of income. I couldn't proceed to college because I wasn't intellectually gifted and thus decided to help my parents in their day to day activities. Driven by the passion that I developed for rearing chicken, I decided to be my own man and curve my own niche here in Ngata Nakuru where i reiside.. From 5 parent stock that my father gave me to start with, I have managed to increase them to 25. In future it is my dream to own a large poultry farm holding high egg laying chicken.

My Business

Joy Poultry Farm rears local poultry for sale in the local market. I decided to start this business after acquiring skills from ACK Development Services on Enterprenuership. Initially I was just a housewife and life was getting harder with only my spouse as a bread winner. I tried to look for a way in which I could complement his efforts and that begotten the Joy Poultry Far

Loan Proposal

To help me do electrical installation in my poultry house to enable me operate an egg incubator since I have realized I can increase my stock faster and create steady supply by purchasing fertilized eggs and hatching using an incubator. This is a more affordable and sustainable way of increasing stock than purchasing day old chicks.
