About Me

I am a 26-year-old young Kenyan born in the western part of Kenya, Webuye and brought up in the capital city of kenya, Nairobi. I spent my childhood life in Nairobi, Kasarani area and enjoyed all my childhood in this noisy but peaceful neigbourhood. This being a slum, I knew my only way out was through education and so I worked hard in both primary and secondary school. After my high school, I got funds from my parents and older siblings and managed to purchase my first computer. That’s where I started doing online jobs and started a small shop where I work as a freelancer.

Just like any other congested slum, the norm is 'survival for the fittest’ and only the aggressive survive. That’s what I love about my area.

When am not working, I love to ride my bike around my area and visiting my old time friends, those we grew up with.

My Business

I work as a freelancer, writing articles and academic papers for companies. This type of service is on demand at the moment since every business is going online and people want content for their websites. This is the reason why I am always busy.

I chose this particular business because I have a passion for writing and so it better to earn from what I love. Apart from my passion, this is also a lucrative job that will even pay more if I employ more young people and supply the overwhelming orders I get.

I am paid on a weekly basis and my pay ranges from $200 to $300 per week. This means on average I earn $800 per month.

I reinvest my profit and also pay bills using the same. I believe in creating employment and that's why my main focus is growing my business.

Loan Proposal

I intend to buy more computers and employ as many jobless youths as possible to keep them away from the dangerous streets of my neighborhood.I will buy two more computers worth $200 each and make two more desks worth $50 each.I will also install the internet and that costs $60. I will use $40 to pay my electricity bill. This will help me meet the many orders I get from my clients especially during the pick seasons. This will also benefit the youths in my neighborhood by keeping them busy and thus reducing the crime rate in my slum.I expect my profit to increase by 20%.
