About Me

Berlinda is my name and was born in Berekum in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana in the year 1990. I am the second to my parents and the only girl out of the 4 children. I began my education in the year 1993 at the St. Monica's primary school in Berekum. I further my elementary school at Berekum senior High School. Things became difficult for me after I graduated from the High school. There was no money to sponsor me to further my education; so I however, started selling sachet water in the market and the lorry park to raise some money to study apprenticeship as a seamstress.
I was able to do this in a year and started with Joyful Way fashion Zone to study how to make cloths. after 3 years of my studies, I graduated from the apprenticeship. I am now a full time seamstress and can make a lot of cloths in a day. I have started sewing from home for the past 18 months now. During my time of sewing in the house, I have been able to save some money to establish my own shop and showroom to exhibit my products to customers.

My Business

During my time of sewing in the house, I have been able to save some money to establish my own shop and showroom to exhibit my products to customers. Because of my poor financial background, I don't have the enough savings to help me make this dream a reality until a friend of my introduced me to join zidisha to apply for a loan to support my business. I am glad and grateful for this wonderful opportunity to help we the poor to also have a better life. I am therefore seeking your assistance to make my fashion and sewing business grow.

Loan Proposal

I have been sewing from home for sometime now and want to establish a showroom to exhibit my products to my dear customers. However, I will need this loan to help me paint and decorate the store room I have rented to use as my showroom. I have already spent close to $1700 to rent this room to be used for my showroom. I however, need to paint the room and decorate the place to attract more customers to my shop. I would be grateful if you can grant me this loan to make my dream a reality. thank you
