Dear Lenders,

My name is Michael Riley and I am the current Client Relations Manager in Dakar, Senegal. Today I had the pleasure of delivering Lamine his loan check that you have funded. Lamine met me near the school in his neighborhood of Parcelles Assainies Unit 19, we took a ride together on his moped and arrived at his home shortly after, where he introduced me to his wife and his youngest daughter, the others where at school. Furthermore, Lamine showed me his workshop where he and a few brothers of his work with a variety of printing machines to produce various paper products. He showed me some examples of the types of orders he receives, such as business cards, receipt booklets, school notebooks, event flyers etc. Lamine is very well known in his neighborhood as his father is the chef du Quartier, serving as the leader for the neighborhood. Whenever there are community disputes or decisions to be made gatherings take place at Lamine's home for these issues to be addressed. Lamine used to live closer to downtown Dakar, but decided to move back to his family home so that he could be more involved with their role as leaders of the neighborhood, he is now a council delegate in the neighborhood and an integral part of his community. I have attached a picture of Lamine with one of his brother next to one of their ancient printing machines, the second picture I attached is of the machine that Lamine dreams of purchasing in the future if he has the finances to do so. With this new machine he would be able to produce more expensive products and is sure his business would take off exponentially if he had this machine. The last picture i attached is of his own business card. For now, with his first Zidisha loan Lamine will be purchasing more supply of paper and ink for the orders he currently has. He is thankful to be a part of the Zidisha community and looks forward to reimbursing this loan so that he can take a larger one in the future, inchallah (God willing)
