My name is Perry Wanjiku Mwangi. I am married with five children, namely Victor, Eddy, Carol, Joyce and Consolator. I reside in Kinamba location. I successfully completed my O-level, having undertaken p1 teaching career at Kericho Teachers Training College.
I retired from teaching in the year 2007. I used some of my retirement benefit to open a business dealing with farm products, including vegetables, fruit and chicken eggs.
My hobbies are visiting the needy in the community, socializing, and being updated with new technology.
I started the business in order to maintain my family with basic needs. My husband was involved in a road accident 2 years ago, whereby ever since he uses the wheelchair, making me the breadwinner.
I want to expand the business, thus I kindly request the Zidisha members to support my business through their loan.
My business is based in Njambini Kinamba location and it involves selling of farm products like vegetables, fruit and chicken eggs. I started the business one year ago. I want to expand the business, but due to limited resource I can't expand. I want to expand the business by buying a bicycle for better transportation. I have hired a young man to be transporting, thus this will enable reach more customers who need our services hence making more profit.
My monthly sales are ksh 40,000, average sales expenses are ksh 30,000, and average profit is ksh 10,000. I will use the profit to expand the business and repay the loan, hence there will be no pressure on my business, thus I will be in a position to grow.
I will use the loan to purchase chicken. My customers have increase and demand for eggs has gone up. The eggs I buy from farmers are not enough to satisfy the market and so if I have my own chicken I will be able to meet the demand of eggs, thus increase my sales.
